Op 20/11/1902 word die volgende persone oorgeplaas na die Volksrust kamp:

Volgens oorvertelling het die Engelse vir Anna Elizabeth Labuschagne (vrou
van
b2c4d6e1f7) op 'n stoel voor haar huis laat sit terwyl hulle die diere
doodgemaak het. Een hoender het onder haar rok kom skuiling soek, maar hy
is
daar uit gehaal en doodgemaak. Daarna is die huis afgebrand. Die gesin het
blykbaar voor die tyd 'n seeppot met muntstukke en breekware in die
mielieland
begrawe, maar kon dit na die oorlog nie weer opspoor nie.
Ek weet nie wat van die ander mans geword het nie, maar Johannes Hendrik
Labuschagne (b2c4d6e1f7g4) en Berend Christoffel Labuschagne
(b2c4d6e1f7g5) was
op Bermuda aangehou. Daar het hulle een of ander siekte opgedoen en was
hulle
albei sieklik met hulle terugkeer. Berend was verlam en het met een of
ander
selfgemaakte karretjie oor die weg gekom. |
